The bird Vessel
Mälardalen Högskola Expo 2018
The art piece revolves around the concept of designing a vessel for a dead bird, prompting a profound exploration of life and death. The design juxtaposes two main elements: the stability of life represented by a systematic and symmetrical cage, and the freedom of death symbolized by a dynamic and free grid structure. These contrasting grids are intertwined, forming two interconnected yet distinct structures. One frame is dynamic, conveying movement and the impression of life, while the other remains stable, representing the stillness of death.
The artwork conveys the notion that although the physical body is immobile, the soul is free and in motion, suggesting a sense of life beyond the constraints of the physical world.
Out of the Box
Mälardalen Högskola Expo 2018
This art piece revolves around the concept of designing a container that challenges the idea of containment itself. The initial confusion led to profound questions about what can and cannot be contained or controlled. The design process delves into the exploration of limitless concepts such as feelings, ideas, and imagination, which are inherently boundless. The container becomes a metaphorical representation of the universe, with a black box creating the illusion of a black hole and an endless depth of space. Users immerse their heads into the container, experiencing a sense of freedom and power over the normally uncontainable. The design includes features like an illusion mirror, LED lights, and small openings for sneak peeks, enhancing the experience of being in a boundless and connected world while inside the confines of a physical container.
