Portfolio

The project site is located by the sea in Tasmania, Australia, and involves the construction of a residential and commercial building. The ground floor features three shops and a corner restaurant that opens towards the sea at the back and the street at the front.

24 & 26 Yachtmans Way

2022 - Tasmania

There are more than 25 apartments of varying sizes and designs. As the architect, my tasks began with sketching the design outline, progressing to primary design and client meetings until we achieved a shared design vision. Then, I proceeded with obtaining building permits and creating the construction documentation. During the building documentation process, I designed the interior space of the living rooms, including dining areas and kitchens. Additionally, I created exterior and interior visualizations showcased on the first and second pages.

Varvet Competition

Working with Pelago Arkitekur

2024 - Stockholm

Pelago Arkitektur is honored to have been selected for the honor list in Göteborg Energi's competition for the design of the new accumulator tank in Gullbergsvass. Our submission blends industrial functionality with elegance through a stylish wrap of wood around the building's structure, giving the proposal a distinct character and unique identity.

I had the privilege of working with Pelago Arkitektur on this competition, contributing to a design that the jury praised for its innovative approach. They highlighted :" the unique finish created by the wood paneling and the spiral staircase that complements the overall design. We are proud that our design proposal has been recognized for its innovative combination of aesthetics and function, and we look forward to the opportunity to further develop this project and contribute to the urban landscape and future development of Göteborg."

4 Auburn Street

2021 - Tasmania

One of the largest projects I worked on in Tasmania was a residential development comprising 12 units and existing homes. The units have a similar external design to maintain harmony on the site, but the layout may vary depending on the topography. As the project is on steep terrain, 65% of the ground floors are covered from two sides, while the other two sides are open to the sea. The project is a commercial residential building, and the cost was a significant consideration in altering the unit designs and layouts to make the most of the site.

This is a simple project consisting of three typical villas on a hill in the countryside of Tasmania. The client and their two siblings have purchased a piece of land and want to design three typical houses, each with similar rights on the property. All residences are oriented towards the view and have a private open space on the side of the houses. The exterior of the houses is a combination of brick and colored sheets, with the color being chosen by the customer on-site. This allows for three different color combinations to be chosen.

Khan (souk) Restoration

2018 - Libanon

I worked with a team of 10 people on a restoration project for ten months. The project involved a monumental building, "The Soap Khan (house)," and the restoration of residential houses by the river. I served as both the team leader and architect.

On the architectural side, the work included socio-economic mapping, building surveys, and drawings for decay and renovations. Following that, we began with improvements and proposals.

Vallentuna Kulturhus Balkong

2023 - Stockholm

At Vallentuna Cultural Center, we were tasked with designing an outdoor space that caters to readers and visitors of the building. The challenge was to maximize the use of the narrow outdoor area while ensuring it didn't impede the flow of people moving from one space to another. Collaborating with my colleagues at Pelago Architecture, we began by carefully selecting furniture and arranging it in a manner that complements the natural movement of people, thus optimizing the space without hindering accessibility.

Parametric Bench Design

2024 - Stockholm

"The Parametric Bench" is one of my favorite projects. I learned to use Rhino during my time at Pelago Architecture, and I started designing a bench with parametric capabilities. This allowed us to easily adjust the width, length, height, as well as the dimensions and spacing of the ribs.

Hus 01

2019 - Stockholm

"Hust 01" is the first project I designed in Sweden. It is a private residence totaling 200 m2, located in Huddinge Municipality. The design focuses on functionality and simplicity in construction to be cost-effective. We used software for light and glare analysis to maximize natural light in all spaces. I adhered to all building regulations and obtained building permits from Huddinge Municipality.

Project 01 focused on designing the central element of a living room, utilizing a pattern of strips alternating between wood and mirrors. In Project 02 involved designing a dress showroom, emphasizing the holistic approach of interior design as an extension of architectural work, encompassing a comprehensive understanding of creating spaces that involve interior aesthetics. Lastly, Project 03, I undertook the design of an entrance and kitchen, starting with taking accurate measurements, creating design proposals, and collaborating with the client to finalize the design. The next step involved initiating demolition work to remove the old design, coordinating with suppliers, carpenters, and other workers until the completion of this modern kitchen.
